This course is aimed at all staff working in the Health and Social Care sector who have the day to day responsibility of caring and supporting a bariatric resident.
At the end of the training session, there is a written and practical assessment to evidence the learning of the attendees.

Demonstrate the principles of carrying out a risk assessment for bariatric moving and assisting. |
Equipment | Identify the range of bariatric equipment available Discuss the importance of having the appropriate equipment in place for safe bariatric handling techniques. |
Practical session | Practical session including the use of a bariatric simulation suit. |
